• Plan on 8-10 images per minute of music

• Bring the music to me on one or more audio CDs or as a list

• Decide on the content for the beginning and ending text for the show
• Think about adding captions on photos to identify people and places
• Think about adding titles to introduce each section of your show
• Decide on photos and text for the DVD case and disc surface
 
• Put the photos in the order of appearance in the show
• Number each photo on the back with a pencil in a corner or a Post-it note
• Photos added later can be named, for example, 12 A, 12 B, etc.
• Group any photos you'd like to appear at the same time
• Package the photos for each section in an envelope, plastic bag, or similar
• For digital photos, write a list indicating where they go in the show
• For video clips, write a note indicating the beginning and ending time of the clip that needs to be edited out of the whole video
 

IMPORTANT INFO

• Allow one week after you give me the photos and music before the show is done
• Rush orders can be accepted whenever possible, such as for a funeral
• Plan on previewing the show either at my office or on the Internet
• Know that photos of varying sizes will appear uniform in the show
• Organize the photos chronologically and/or in sections
• The more organized you are, the less chance for an extra charge for my organization time!

• Digital photos can be brought to me on the memory card, flash drive, or CD
• How to organize digital photos for your show:
• Write a list of the images and indicate which prints they go after
• or, rename each digital photo file by adding a number to the beginning of its current title
• Please don't bring me digital photos printed on your home printer unless it is a photo printer and you have chosen the correct print settings and paper - otherwise, it won't scan well

USING VIDEO CLIPS

• From VHS tapes, DVDs, or DV tapes
• Whole videos can be used - the cost starts at $5 per whole clip
• Parts of videos can be used by having me edit to the part you want
• Write the beginning and ending times
• Also write a brief description of the action
• The cost depends on how long it takes to do this editing at $30 per hour
• Decide if you want the original sound or the show's music (or both) during the clip
